Question 1
183543
A particle moves so that its displacement is \(x = 5\cos 3t\) metres, where \(t\) is in seconds. Prove that the particle is moving in simple harmonic motion, and state its amplitude and period.
x-dot=-15sin3t, x-ddot=-45cos3t=-9x, so SHM with n=3. Amplitude 5 m, period 2pi/3 s.
